Illyia grew up on her family's farm in Lower La Noscea, outside Limsa Lominsa, a middle child bookended by a pair of brothers. Initially helping grow and manage the various fields, she excitedly claimed one day the rolanberry patch was 'hers' exclusively to manage, and would come home every sundown with red-stained fingers and lips till it was time for something more. As a teen she took on being the delivery girl for the farm's produce, growing herself as she then would travel on her own up and down Vylbrand and to the three city-states.Through this newfound independence the freckled firecracker grew in a number of directions, her warm, goofy demeanor helping befriend people wherever she went. In Limsa Lominsa she met Master Lyngsath of the Culinarian's Guild, trading him first shot at her best crops for a chance to train under him at The Bismarck. In Ul'dah she met Master Holyfist, using any trips to the city as a chance to further throw herself into the 'fun' that was pugilism.It was in Wineport she made her most important friendship in an older couple that operated their own vineyard. They took a liking to her, and would share their knowledge of the craft whenever both sides had the time to spare. It was just a few years later the pair decided to retire, and were happy to offer a certain young, vibrant redhead to buy that very business from them. 'Illyia the delivery girl' became 'Illyia the proprietress of Vonawesome Vineyards,' who...would still travel, delivering a new type of good now. But that's not so much the history, as it is the present.

  • Or perhaps you'll find her at her evening gig, every other Monday evening at the Little Bee Cafe. Illyia loves to cook and bake, and enjoys any excuse to meet people in the process.

  • If neither of those, then mayhap an adventure somewhere. Eager to put her pugilism training to use, one can't frequent so many taverns without developing a knack for hearing the interesting rumor or three...

  • She loves to swim. If there's a body of water nearby she's tearing the breakaway pants to reveal a bikini at the ready, and is already halfway to evolving a set of gills.

  • She's often browsing marketplaces whenever passing through, looking for fun new threads to try out at the local nightlife, or interesting new flavors to try out in the kitchen - Illyia claims she didn't choose the spice life, the spice life chose her. She's also a big fan of performances, whether it be acting, dancing or music, and will spend the day watching, happily transfixed regardless if it's a single performer or a full troupe.
